Terms of Use

KreditBuilder ("KB," "we," "us," or "our") operates a credit-building membership service. Through our KreditBuilder Lite plan, members receive a $3,000 authorized-user tradeline reported to Experian in exchange for a monthly membership fee. Our service is designed to help individuals establish or improve their credit history.

By accessing or using our website at kreditbuilder.app (the "Site") or any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you must not use the Site or our services.

To use KreditBuilder, you must be at least 18 years old and a legal resident of the United States. By registering for an account, you represent that all information you provide is accurate, complete, and current.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason, including if we determine that your use of the service violates these Terms or any applicable law.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or use of your account.

We may require identity verification before activating credit reporting on your behalf. You agree to cooperate with any such verification requests.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

We offer—and may require—multi-factor authentication to protect your account. MFA options include SMS verification, authenticator apps (TOTP), and passkeys. When you enable MFA, you consent to our collection and storage of the associated credentials (such as your phone number for SMS, an encrypted TOTP secret, or a passkey credential) as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for keeping your MFA devices and backup recovery codes secure.

Login Activity Monitoring

To help protect your account, we automatically record information about each login attempt, including your IP address, browser, device type, authentication method, and the date and time of the attempt. You can review your recent login history in your account security settings. If you notice any sign-in activity you do not recognize, you should change your password and contact us immediately.

KreditBuilder Lite is a recurring monthly subscription at $5/month. Your subscription begins on the date you complete your first payment and renews automatically each month until cancelled. There are no long-term contracts or hidden fees.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, your credit tradeline will remain on your credit report in accordance with standard credit bureau practices but will no longer be actively reported as an open account.

All payments are processed securely through our third-party payment processor, Chargebee. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge your selected payment method for the applicable subscription fee on a recurring basis.

If a payment fails, we may attempt to process the charge again. If payment cannot be collected after reasonable attempts, your subscription may be suspended or terminated, and credit reporting may be paused.

Refunds are generally not provided for partial billing periods. If you believe a charge was made in error, please contact our support team within 30 days.

KreditBuilder reports your on-time membership payments to Experian on a monthly basis. By enrolling, you authorize us to report your account activity, including payment history and account status, to Experian.

While our service is designed to help build credit, we do not guarantee any specific credit score improvement. Credit scores are determined by multiple factors, many of which are outside our control. Results vary by individual.

It may take 30–60 days from your first payment for your tradeline to appear on your Experian credit report. If you have questions about your credit report, you may contact Experian directly.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information during registration or identity verification
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, accounts, or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit any aspect of the service without our express written consent

Our Site and Service rely on certain third-party technologies. By using the Site, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

Authentication and Security Services

We use multi-factor authentication (MFA) technologies, including SMS-based one-time codes, time-based one-time password (TOTP) authenticator apps, and passkeys (WebAuthn/FIDO2), to verify your identity and secure your account. When you enable SMS-based MFA, a one-time verification code is delivered to your phone number via a third-party messaging provider. We also maintain device login history records to help detect unauthorized access and protect your account.

Google reCAPTCHA

We use Google reCAPTCHA to protect the Site from spam and abuse on pages such as sign-up, login, and password reset. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information, including device and application data, and sends it to Google for analysis. Your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Analytics Services

With your consent, we use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to analyze how visitors use our Site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as pages visited, session duration, and traffic sources. Microsoft Clarity collects session replay and heatmap data, including mouse movements, clicks, and scrolling behavior. These services may transfer data to servers outside your jurisdiction. Use of these analytics tools is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Microsoft's Privacy Statement, respectively. You can manage your analytics preferences via our Cookie Settings page.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, KreditBuilder and its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or credit opportunities.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or if required by law. Upon termination, we will cease credit reporting on your behalf.

You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and contacting support. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including limitations of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will survive.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on our Site prior to the changes taking effect. Your continued use of the service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
